Obey your Subliminal

Happiness means relief from sufferings and vice-versa. Our own misdeeds and misconduct cause distress in life (see Goodness Assures Happiness).  So preventing bad thoughts and acts give you the real joy.  How do we avoid bad intentions and deeds?

We tend to think and act as our body or mind desires.  They may prefer bad to good and drive us in wrong path causing miseries.  Hence what we think or act may be or may not be good.  Then, what is the way to ensure good acts and behaviour?

We engage in five basic acts viz., think, hear, talk, see and act.  Every time we do these, we should ensure that they’re ethical and value-based.  Listen to what subliminal mind says. Always our subliminal mind advises what is good and value-based. Subliminal mind keeps warning us against bad thoughts and acts. But it has no control on what you decide to perform.  Before you think, hear, talk, see or do anything, connect yourself to your subliminal mind and follow what it suggests.

In this world, goodness is the only means to achieve nirvana i.e., happiness (see Goodness Insures Happiness).  One should build right character and exhibit good behaviour to avoid hardships in life.  Cultivating goodness involves pursuing a noble path. It involves holding to moral and ethical values in every thought or act; maintaining harmonious relations with others; and doing activities that is good for everyone.  The five-fold path is suggests the right approach to cultivate goodness. It involves good thoughts, good speech, good behaviour, good deeds and good relations.

Buddha said,

"The kind of seed sown
will produce that kind of fruit.
Those who do good will reap good results.
Those who do evil will reap evil results.
If you carefully plant a good seed,
You will joyfully gather good fruit
."

Good thoughts and acts assure happy life. Bad thoughts or acts lead us to sorrows and miseries. Depriving others will desert you. Personal security will be in threat as relationships fade away. Lack of self-control land us in hardship. Greediness leads to troubled future. For example, addiction to alcohol or narcotics leads you to ill-health. With impoverishment and ill health, you become destitute. Though you have deep pockets, you can’t escape from sufferings. Illness panics you and takes away happiness. Negative state of mind makes you commit crime, for which you face music behind bars.  Likewise, you will be hit if you jump signals or drive rash. It may cost your life or makes you pay heavily. Corrupt behaviour or misconduct puts your credibility in stake. No matter what we say, others know us from how we behave. Dishonest, fraudulent, unethical and unfair behaviours diminish our trustworthiness and hence impound our employment or business opportunities.

Righteous character and moral acts of Lord Rama, disposition of love and serenity unveiled by Jesus Christ, noble path treaded and preached by Gautama Buddha, etc.,-- all convey one great fact i.e., God is the embodiment of goodness  vis-a-vis  Goodness personify the God.  We have been worshiping them as ‘the incarnation of God,’ despite their historical existence as human beings.  In modern era, while Mother Teresa has  been honored with beatification for her selfless service and charity, M K Gandhi is adored as Mahatma (means great soul) for showing the world the path of Satyagraha (truth and non-violent as means to achieve justified end).  They are all honored as equal to God due to their conviction and perseverance in the noble path manifested by righteous character, ethical conduct, love and serenity.  Several such good human beings can be found across ages venerated as a saint or prophet or god.  They stand for goodness and affirm the faith that every splendid human being is a God.
